About Me
Outdoor Adventure sports have played a large part in my life. It has provided me with adventure travel opportunities around the globe. I love teaching and encouraging people to enjoy their outdoor experience.
I’ve been canoe and kayaking for over 40 years, both as a competitor and a Coach.
I hold both Irish and British Coaching Awards as a Level 5 Canoe and Sea coach, Level 4 Inland and Level 3 Surf coach. I also offer specific safety and rescue training courses for Canoe and Sea disciplines.
I specialise in Open Canoe and Sea kayaking offering bespoke coaching to individuals or small groups of people who already have experience and want to develop their skills and performance in Paddlesport and navigation skills in the mountains.
Though based in County Wicklow I regularly travel in Ireland or the British Isles to provide coaching opportunities.
I have worked as an instructor in the Outdoor Education sector, a teacher in Further Education and a tutor for both Safeguarding and Sports Coach development programmes.
I also offer mountain navigation training.
I bring a depth and broad wealth of experience to my coaching.
